Your Captains

Tropical Tiki Tours Captain Frank

Captain Frank

USCG 100 ton licensed captain

Working from The Bering Sea to a little island off the coast of Honduras the last 15 years of my life has been in, on, and under the water. After being a scuba instructor living between Utila Honduras and Key West Florida for 5 years I decided it was time to take the next big step and become a captain.

While getting a plethora of experience captaining different boats from 100 person party cats to yachts to tug boats, getting back to where it all started in the recreational side of boating has been nothing less than a fun experience for myself. I’m happy to be able to share my love of the water with everyone else.

Tropical Tiki Tours Captain Peel

Captain Peel

Jonathan Peel grew up in nearby Naples, FL and at a young age fell in love the natural beauty of the area, especially the beach and wildlife. Jonathan spent almost 10 years living and working in the Caribbean, Central and South America.

Some of his favorite hobbies are bird watching with his son, sailing, skiing and is an avid scuba diver which led him to becoming a MSDT scuba instructor. Jonathan brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and fun times to all of our tours!

Marco Island, Florida, is home to a rich variety of wildlife, thriving in its coastal and mangrove habitats. Dolphins and manatees are often seen gliding through the warm Gulf waters, while sea turtles nest on the island’s sandy shores during the summer. The mangroves teem with birdlife, including roseate spoonbills, egrets, and ospreys, making it a haven for birdwatchers. Alligators and crabs inhabit the marshy areas, alongside fish like snook and redfish.

The island’s beaches and nearby estuaries attract shorebirds such as sandpipers and plovers, while offshore, pelicans dive for fish. Marco Island’s natural preserves, like Rookery Bay, protect diverse species and offer glimpses of raccoons, otters, and even bobcats in their native habitats. Its surrounding waters are also rich with marine life, from starfish to vibrant corals, making Marco Island a vibrant ecosystem teeming with unique wildlife.
